This piece is a proud product of Bulgaria. Sometimes when it comes to magic, Bulgaria can be overlooked, but it shouldn't be. It is just as mystical and holds just as much power as the places around it hold. It has a rich history of both Roman and Grecian influence including many examples of Roman architecture that are left standing. It gives the city a sort of character and energy. You would really feel as though you had traveled in time. That is the best way I can describe it. Honestly, the last time we visited Europe we traveled to Bulgaria, more specifically Stara Zagora. This city can be traced back to ancient times and holds an impressive amount of Roman ruins. Again, think time machine. Furthermore, this city is special because it is part of the area that was historically known as Thrace. Thrace was comprised of parts of Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey, cut off by the mountains in the North. Even to this day, the Thracian people consider themselves to Thracian. This is because the people from this area share a common lineage. They hold a magical bloodline that has been passed down to them from their ancestors.
The magic that is there is said to go back to ancient times and if you look around there are plenty of reasons to believe that the magic is present. As I said, you can practically feel that Stara Zagora is different than other places. A very clear example of this magic is the Thracian Speakers. Now, you've likely not heard of the Thracian Speakers. This is because upon their discovery they were collected by the Grecian Mystery Schools. They are now kept on hand in a secret meeting hall in Stara Zagora and they are never meant to catch the attention of the public eye. This is simply because of the power that has been set into them. They fear that if they fall into the wrong hands, this magic could be detrimental.
The Thracian Speakers are a collection of terracotta figures. These figures are in the shape of men but hold some type of ancient magic, because they are more than terra cotta. They are oracles, each with a set of knowledge that is far more advanced than you could imagine. This magic is said to set into these pieces by the Witch of Endor during a pilgrimage that she was taking that required her to travel through. She slept there one night and made these pieces during a ritual and they have existed ever since. The people who have lived there had no idea how to use them evidently, so their powers went unused until they were rediscovered by the Mystery Schools. The oracles became collectively known as the Thracian Speakers because they are able to speak magic into items and other tokens of power that are presented to them.
Deedee somehow was able to arrange a meeting with the speakers, who are able to see straight through to your soul. During our meeting, we asked the speakers to make this piece for us so we could pass it onto others. They agreed without hesitation and this is how we came into possession of this piece. When you wear this piece, it allows you to hold communication with the Thracian Speakers on the Astral Plane.
