The guardian dragon is the singular ancient guardian of the sacred Black Lotus burial grounds, where the remains of the most powerful and valued members of the society are kept. The Black Lotus is a secret Chinese assassination organization that specializes in prevailing through impossible circumstances. It doesn't matter how much security they have to go through, how many obstacles or how dangerous it is in general to kill whatever target they are given - they will come for the person and they will kill them.

They are responsible for a number of famous deaths and a number of unsolved murders that exist to date. I cannot reveal the famous deaths but I can tell you that you would instantly recognize the names if I were to give them. You may also be surprised to find that the nature of their death is a lot scandalous than you've been lead to believe. The Black Lotus does not kill at random, they cannot be hired and they cannot be bribed. They eliminate at form of compromise, which is what makes them one of the most organized and sophisticated orders in existence to date. It's why there is so little information in circulation about them. They keep tabs on everything. They know exactly what goes on among their members at all times.

There are two sides to this order. The first being the assassination, business and mob-esque side. The other is deeply rooted in the occult.

This piece would normally be owned by the Fallen King of the Black Lotus - otherwise known as the king of the deceased. He is a powerful ancient figure who controls the dragon guardian of the burial chamber. The dragon collects the souls and carries them into the next life, over which the Fallen King reigns. Every deceased individual who is eventually buried in this chamber does so for the purpose of guarding their deepest darkest secrets in death. It is customary that these individuals, in exchange for the protection of their secrets, will release their power to the Fallen King upon death, allowing him to embody whatever magic power they had mastered in life. This comes in many forms - bodily power, relic magic, realm magic - it differs per person. The Fallen King is one of the most diverse masters of power in existence.

The Black Lotus occultists believe that the Fallen King embodies a Lotus member every generation. The child will be born discolored and dead but then successfully resurrected. The occultists believe that the Fallen King of the underworld's powerful is the life that is breathed back into the child when it draws its first breaths upon being resurrected. The child is trained and grown into a life of shade mastery. The child is eventually stationed at the burial chambers when they come of age - around 13 years old - and they live out their life there, collecting power and magic and aiding the dragon guardian in its duty on behalf of the Fallen King. They call this individual the Lotus Throne - the 'vessel' the Fallen King lies within. Some may also call this individual the Lotus Virtue.

The item you see is a sterling ring of 13 grams of sterling. This holds the latest spirit dragon guardian that dwells among the Black Lotus' burial chambers with the red eyes of the Fallen King. It is usually given to the Lotus Virtue. It allows the wearer a complete connect to the dragon guardian who grants an enormous influx of wealth, extreme power as well as ancient and sacred magic that is collected from the coffins of the deceased the dragon is ordered to watch over. Additionally, the wearer of this piece can connect with the optic power stem guarded by Fallen King within the underworld - it is a source of power that the Fallen King pulls from himself. The power gained from this tether is immense, which is why it is normally only trusted to one person at any given time. This power is unique, limitless and great. It is an opportunity you will likely regret passing up - so don't!
