Earlier this year a cache of 20 wooden sarcophagi were found in Luxor, Egypt. In one of the burial containers, officials discovered a collection of ancient jewelry. Of course, the public wasn't aware of this discovery, because the department of antiquities doesn't make them aware of things like these. They attempt to harvest any power that has been placed into these artifacts for themselves prior to exposing them to the public. That's if they even share their findings. Sometimes these items are sold to private collectors, which is how we ended up with one of the jewels that were found in the sarcophagi.
