This is just another one of the pieces that I have encountered along the way.  During my stays in Israel, which I have told you about before, I came into contact with a few of the members of the modern-day Cult of Gad.  They don't really cling to any specific religion, although they tend to believe in God.  Moreover, they believe in the powers of destiny and that there is one God in charge of all things.  There are two forces that can act upon you.  The unfortunate force has not been named, simply because they believe that merely uttering his name can invite him into your home, leading you toward a downward spiral that will leave your life in shambles.

On the other hand, there is Gad.  Gad is the deity of lucky fortune.  His presence is ancient and is attested to in the ancient records of Aram and Arabia.  Ironically, enough he is also mentioned in the Book of Isaiah, whereby by those Christians who have been in Babylonian captivity clung to Gad, asking him for better luck.  You see how that worked out.  Israel is still strong and going til this day.  That's saying something for the powers that Gad can give to those who ask him.  You don't have to feel blasphemous by using this power either, because Gad is less of a deity and more of a presence that will make itself known in your life if you allow him to.

While I was in Israel, I stayed briefly with the Cult of Gad.  Like I said, they tend to more believe in God and use Gad a secondary force to drive their destiny toward good fortune.  It's as if Gad is a messenger to God who will implore on your behalf to lead your life down the passage you want.  I learned a lot about them and the veneration ceremonies that they held for the entity they called Gad.  One of the most intriguing aspects of these ceremonies is when they would role die that they called the Voice of Gad or sometimes just the Lucky Voice.  In all actuality, it was the manifestations of their own wants and desires.  The process entailed a six-sided die.  On each adjacent side was written the numbers 1-6, in the fashion of a die you would use in a modern casino.  The die was made out of different types of materials and would be thrown into a box-shaped altar, similar to the way one would throw craps at a casino.  Before the person would throw the die, he or she would write down six things that they wanted out of life.  They would then throw the die and whatever number it landed on, that was the area of their life that they would become lucky for that week.

It really is quite as simple as it sounds.  When I departed from Israel, the Cult of Gad gifted me this die.  It is made out of human bone and is actually quite old.  I don't know how old exactly, but I know it is old and it has been used for some time.  It is one of the better pieces that they have, and the alchemy from the fact that the bones used to belong to an actual outcome increases the luck power of the die.  In all, it's a win-win situation, I suppose.  Either way, I have used this die quite a few times and for quite a while.  I think that it is now the appropriate time to pass them on to somebody else who could use them.  What you will when you use this die is sit down and write down any six things that you want to come to pass in your destiny.  Maybe you want wealth.  Maybe you want true love.  Maybe you want to become a werewolf.  Maybe you want to become a vampire.  Maybe you want to speak to the angels or create a djinn.  Whatever the case may be, you have to choose six and you may choose no more than six.  They must all be different, but they don't have to necessarily change week after week.

Once you have decided what your six topics will be, you must prick the end of your finger and dab a droplet of blood on the paper on which you have just written your "luck areas".  After this, your destiny will be "sealed in blood."  You must toss the die and whatever number corresponds to the number that is on the die, then that is what Gad has chosen for your next week's lucky fortune.  One of those six things will become your destiny for the next week.  For instance, if it was chosen that you should have luck in the area of becoming a vampire, maybe you will meet a live vampire, or maybe you will discover a piece that will give you a sanguine transformation.  Gad works in mysterious ways, but will surely bring you luck and good fortune in whatever you choose.
This piece is made of human bone.
