ORIGINS/ The magic comes from deep within the Kabayan Mountains

Hidden deep within the Kabayan Caves are some of the most mysterious findings that one will ever lay their eyes upon. They are informally known as the Fire Mummies of the Philippines. They are also known as simply Kabayan Mummies, Ibaloi Mummies, and/or Benguet Mummies. They are a group of mummified individuals that are found along the mountainside in the small town in the far North Philippines. The town is called Kabayan and the mummies were made as early as 2000 BC until the 16th Century. The mummies might still be made to this day, save for the fact that Spaniards overtook the Philippines in the 16th Century and abolished this ritual practice.

According to the experts, the Fire Mummies, after death of course, were given a very salty serum to drink. The corpse was then washed and set over a fire. They were set so in a seated position so that way all of the fluids would be dried out. Tobacco smoke was bowed into the mouth to dry the body's insides and internal organs. The last step was to run herb and spices into the skin of the deceased. Then the bodies were then placed in a pinewood coffin. They were set to rest in rock shelters, natural caves, or man made burial sepulchres.

Many of the bodies were thieves when they were first rediscovered in the 20th Century. That is fine, because it's not about the money or the material possession to these mummies Rather it is about the life that is still in their years. It is about the fact that during the ritual of mummification their souls were still bound to their bodies. It is about that every night after the sun goes down, these mummies come back to life. They become reanimated. The best part is that each of the mummies have undergone an ascendency into the realms of Heaven. Apart from immortality each of these mummies has been given a powers. As the hours of the night creep by, these once wise men shelter weary passersby and share with them their ancient tales. They each share their powers with their visitor, to impress them and to entice them to stay.

Most of the time, the enticing people to stay doesn't work. That's most likely because the travelers wake up in the morning and their hospitable hosts have all turned to bones. There are not very many people who know that this happens, so if you are reading this you are one of the few. This piece that is being offered gives the user the ability to bilocate to the Kabayan caves at night times, when the fires burn and the mummies walk again. They can stay there with the mummies all night, asking them questions and collecting a very wide range of powers and abilities. With the number of Fire Mummies there are, and the fact that each of them hold a special power, it will be a rare case that the person using this piece will not be able to find the power they they are looking for. Chalk it being the claw in a claw machine of powers and there's a winner every time.
