This piece brings about the presence of a Madonna who is know as La Macarena. Her official title is Our Lady of Hope, or in Spanish La Esperanza. She is officially the matron of bullfighters, said to have worn all black when Joselito, one of Spain's most famous bullfighters died. She is called La Macarena because that's the name of the village she is originally from in Spain. She has a very powerful presence, but frankly I think that people have kind of missed the mark by lumping her into one category as the protector of bullfights. I mean, sure she has helped the bullfighters along the way, but this is not because she only protects bullfighters, it's because she is the matron of hope.
