There is an Irish castle in Coolderry, County Offaly, Ireland that was originally built by the O'Bannons in the late 15th century. For centuries, the castle has been a hot spot for vampire activity. After the castle shifted ownership from O'Bannons to the O'Carrolls, the O'Carrolls became less concerned with concealing their allies and identities. They brought vampires into a higher position of power. The O'Carrolls would call meetings at the castle, during which the leader of every vampire territory under the O'Carrolls' control would appear on behalf of their following.

At these gatherings, the O'Carrolls' would often have plans that they would discuss, which would dictate the overall function of their organization. It would often involve methods of recruiting, plans of whom they would next take over, as well as long-term plans on how to make their organization stronger.

In the early 1600s, the O'Carrolls had revealed plans to seek and obtain immortality, which received mixed interest. The idea was that they would live forever and control their empire without the risk of it falling apart or being completely lost while in the hands of someone less capable. The plan called for a ritual. Each of the lead vampires would come together and they would donate a small amount of their blood as a sign of loyalty and each of the O'Carrolls would ingest it over the course of three full moons, at the end of which, they were to be granted complete immortality, which not only meant the ability to not age and live forever but also the inability to be harmed or killed as well.

However, one of the vampires who had been planning an uprising for quite some time had not given their blood. They had given the blood of a horse instead. When the third full moon came to pass, the O'Carrolls fell ill and their lives rapidly drained from their bodies. As the ritual had been conducted incorrectly and the O'Carrolls were seen as weak, they were overthrown but not before their lives and power were drained completely.

This item is laced with the last drops of blood drained from each of the dying O'Carrolls. Over time, it will also transform your body into that of a vampire.  It allows the wearer to experienced heightened senses, slower aging, and allure. The very blood that runs through your veins will be intoxicating to those near you. When exposed to you, they will likely be pliant to your will and easily seduced. Other vampires will likely approach you as well as you will appear as one of their own.

This piece is a antique sterling silver ring. There is a carved face inside the ring, which is not showing up well in the pictures.
