Oak of the Witches

Hundreds of years ago witches planted an oak tree around which they would dance and perform their rituals. These rituals included anything from summoning entities from the realms of death to calling upon their ancestral spirits. Located deep within a Tuscan forest, the mossy, thick branches extend horizontally instead of vertically. It is believed that these branches are the magical arms welcoming witches from all over the world to come and practice their craft. The place is hallowed ground because the tree was planted atop the grave of a very powerful witch and the tree is known by witches to be her reincarnation. They also come to speak to the tree for guidance in their magical endeavors. The tree holds the knowledge of every spell ever cast by an Earth witch.

The tree has become so famous that it and the forest around it have been designated a national monument by the Italian government. It is called the Oak of the Witches.
