Periodically, Deedee and I attend pow wows. Most of these are the kind that are open to the public, but occasionally we get invited to ones that are not open to the public. It gives us a chance to network with people. This is how we were able to get this piece. We got it from an Ojibwa Indian Brave who has got through the secret rituals of the Midiwiwin. The Midiwiwin is a Native American Secret Society that holds the sacred knowledge of the ancestor tribes. This knowledge is imparted through a series of rituals and prayer dances in which the Indian Brave is visited by a serpent of knowledge.
