Peter Piper might have picked a peck of pickled peppers, but Pennybags will put anything that Peter Piper has ever done to shame. He is the clown that you see listed in the picture for this description. Don't let his appearance startle you. I'm not going to lie, this piece is about as creepy as creepy comes. He has a lever on his back that brings his hand up to his mouth. The idea is that is that you put a quarter in his had and then he swallows it. I think he was originally designed to be a piggy bank, but I'm not so certain.
The fact is that Pennybags hasn't always been cast metal. He used to be a real person. He was a circus freak from Taiwan and I use the term with all due respect. He had a particular fancy for the dark the arts. When he wasn't dressing up in creepy make-up and entertaining children with magic tricks and balloons, he was reading from a Grimoire that was passed down to him from his grandfather, who was also a circus clown. He never knew his parents. They ran away from the imprisonment that is circus life when they were young and left their love child behind for the grandparents to deal with.
The Grimoire that he read out of contained a abundant amount of spells that he could have used for anything-- anything at all. He could have used it to bring him wealth. He could have used it to bring love to his life. He could have time traveled, astral traveled, duplicated himself, sought revenge on his parents for abandoning him, opened up full psychic awakening. He could've done anything. That's not what he was into, though. His interest was peaked by the creation of creatures and he created all sorts of creatures, most of them dark, some of the them dual, and released them into the world. The barrage of creatures he released into the world varied from Griffins to Phoenixes, from dragons to werewolves. He could create demons, but he chose not to do that. His grandfather taught him never to trust a demon. Instead, he turned to creating djinn, whose appearance are similar to demons, but who are actually dual in nature, not exclusively dark.
Pennybags' prized possession was a djinn that he called Cobalt. He called him that because of the blue haze that surrounded the djinn when Pennybags commanded the djinn to show itself to him. The reason that the djinn appeared like this is because he is a blue ifritdjinn-- the best of the best, the most powerful of the powerful. He served Pennybags until late in Pennybags life, when he made the wish to become an immortal. This bank is Pennybags' immortal form. It looks like what he looked like when he was alive, but has obviously been scaled down to size and turned to metal by an alchemy spell-- kind of like a shrunken skull, except it is metal.
What you do with this piece is put a quarter in Pennybags' hand. Then you make your wish. Pull the lever down and feed him the quarter. Pennybags became an immortal with an infusion of his family's grimoire. He now has all of the knowledge of this ancient spell book ingrained into his immortal being. Yes, we know that it is conventional, but it is very magical. He can literally grant anything you wish for and all you have to do is feed him quarters. You can literally wish out loud for whatever you want, feed it to Pennybags and it will come true. You can wish for anything and it will come true.
Now, if you turn this bust of Pennybags over you will notice that there is no stopper. This is not a mistake. This was done on purpose. When you are done feeding Pennybags his money, you will retrieve it from inside of him. You will then spend the money. Spending the money will draw wealth from multiple different realms and deliver this wealth to you. This wealth will come in many different forms and will come in any form that you want it to come it! You don't have to specify the kind of wealth that you want, because the energies in the quarter, once fed to Pennybags, will contain a wealth alchemy that will read you and know what kind of wealth you need. You can also give these quarters to others, so that way you can share wealth-- if you want to.
