The powers in this piece predate those that have been found in the Antikythera Mechanism. Scientists have said themselves that it would be nearly impossible that the original would not have at least a rough draft. In fact, there is more than one predecessor. We were able to get our hands on one of them.
Using magic, we have been able to reconstruct our mechanism, which doesn't include the name of some fancy island where it was found. We're not quite sure who made it. We think it was Greek, but we're not 100% sure. The origins don't quite matter, because the power in the mechanism speaks or itself.
The mechanism that we received is a very powerful piece that works with celestial anomaly and magic in order to open the door to different portals. These portals lead to different places. Using it, we have been able to open the door to several portals including the spirit world, a portal full of Grine Djinn (which are the djinn doubles that are born every time a human is born), a portal to Tylweth Teg and all the fairies that exist there, and even a portal to a non-sanguine vampire realm.
Because we know that you don't have time to wait around to draw the energies of a supernatural occurrence in nature such as an eclipse or a planetary alignment, we have made this piece by placing the uninhibited powers of our mechanism into it. You can use this piece in any place at any time. Here's the catch. You must allow it to recharge by the rays of the full moon, one per moon cycle. That doesn't seem so unfair, does it? I mean, you're gaining the ability literally open the doors to portals you never deemed possible!
