The Giants of Monte Prama

While commonly thought to be grave decorations that were buried with aristocratic families, the giants of Monte Prama are more than that.  The stone giants were carved and into them were summoned ancient guardian spirits that would watch over them in death.  In those ancient times, the spirits weren't quite understood, but the spirits they were summoning were actually angels and they were sent by God from Heaven to be channeled into these stone giants to assist with the passing of the souls after burial.  No, they didn't believe in God at the point, but there is also a clause in the Bible about immunity for people who haven't heard the word of God.  He was being generous and helping them any way
