The Granting Heads
Well, you've probably all heard of Olmec Colossal Heads. It's a good thing they used the world colossal to describe them, too. I can't really think another world that would be more befitting. I mean, they are huge. However, it's not the size that matters. I know you've heard that before, but in this case, it really is the truth. Rather, its the ancient spells that were cast upon the heads that are important. Recently discoveries have shone light on the fact that the Olmecs actually had a very detailed system of written communication. These words are the ones that were used to cast the spells upon the ancient heads that allowed them to speak to them as if they were human beings.
They used these ancient heads like more involved magic 8 Balls. The heads would answer the questions that they asked them. Usually, they involved questions concerning how they should carry out certain tribal business, but from time to time these heads were asked to give directions on how to make magical items that they shamans would then wear to benefit the tribe. These magics included anything from a plentiful harvest (wealth) to healing to protection from other warring tribes. It might take a day or two, but the heads would eventually open up giving the tribe the answers that they wanted.
This piece allows you to create your own type of talking head. It can be a statue you made or one that you bought at the store. That part isn't necessarily important. What's important is that you put this piece around the head and allow it to sit there for a total of seven days before you start talking to it. Otherwise, it isn't going to work.
Once the seven days have passed, you will be able to ask your statue for things that you want. For instance, maybe you want wealth. Or, perhaps your seeking love. Maybe you want fame. The point is, whatever you ask your statue for it will grant to you. The reason this piece looks more contemporary and tribes-y is because it is one that we actually took on an investigation when we found out that this type of magic was able to be transferred. This piece is like having your own in-house god or goddess that grants you what you ask for. I mean, what else could you possibly even want?
If you want to, you can wear the earrings. You don't have to, though. They are just included in the set. Some people reported that this helped them developing a stronger bond when talking to the statue, but when I tested it personally it didn't seem to make that much of a difference.
