We have two of these pieces and they are incredibly powerful. They were made by a Voodoo queen of the Marie Laveau bloodline who still practices her ancestor's magic to this day. We have honestly been sitting on this piece for a while because we were half-tempted to keep this one for ourselves. That's how powerful the magic in this piece. We found this item in New Orleans during one of our most previous trips.
Sometimes when you go to New Orleans it can be really touristy, so if you want to get the real deal and not a phony piece of jewelry you have to know where to go. Luckily Deedee does and that is how we came in contact with these pieces. These pieces are evil eyes and they can be used for protection, which is customarily what evil eyes are used for. They are eyes that stare into the evil eye that is thrown at you to overpower and break down the curse or whatever malice was meant for you. They don't back down. They protect at all costs.
However, this piece was made with a different ability. I mean, they are evil eyes, but they have also been enchanted with the ability to bypass Papa Legba to see into the realm of the Loa, which is pretty cool because a lot of the time that bastard wants a newborn or a luxury condo depending on the god or goddess you are trying to conjure. My point is this-- it allows you to look into their realm and to access their power and knowledge. When wearing one of these pieces the eyes will allow you to see into the realm during meditation where you will telepathically call out to god or goddess of your choice. They will present themselves to you and you will tell them the spell that desire to be cast. It is that simple. When you aren't using this piece to have magic create or spells cast it will simply grant you protection from all things evil and malicious, which is saying a lot these days!
